Start Slacking

Sarah Kessler for Fast Company
Occasionally a consumer-facing product like Dropbox expands into the workplace, but rarely do people bring tools designed for their companies into their personal lives. But now it seems Slack is becoming an exception.
I love Slack. If I could use it to replace iMessage, Gchat and I can't believe I'm still using it, Facebook messenger, I would. And although not the intent of the article, the problem with a lot of these apps (WhatsApp etc...) is adoption within your circle of friends (and co-workers). I have friends with iPhone's who swear by iMessage. While another friend hates the native Android messaging app so much, we use Facebook Messenger (ugh). And another who prefers Google Hangouts.
My hope is this trend picks up steam and becomes more mainstream.
